Do You Love Nature? This is the Airboat Ride for You!

Many people ask us what types of wildlife they should expect to see on an airboat ride… here are just some of Florida’s birds you may see:  bald eagle, great white egret, snowy egret, cattle egret, blue heron, limpkin, ibis, glossy  ibis, wood stork, snail kite, hawks, red shoulder blackbird, gallinule, wild turkey, sandhill crane, roseate spoonbill, osprey, crested caracara, coot and mud hens, plover, gulls, pelicans, cormorant, owls, kingfisher, ducks, and anhinga.  Wow, that’s a lot of birds and I’m sure I missed some!

We also see alligators, turtles, deer, raccoon, armadillo, otters, bobcat, coyote, possums, wild hogs, swamp cattle, foxes, snakes and many more!

Like I said, if you love nature, this is the airboat ride for you!

Personal Service is What We Do Best!

We received this email from Ron and Laura about their amazing airboat ride on Spirit of the Swamp.  In fact, Ron was so impressed with their airboat tour, he actually stopped in the lobby of his hotel and told another guest about his family’s incredible experience and guess what happened?  The family called us to book an airboat tour for themselves!

We just wanted to say thanks, once again. The tour exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to another airboat ride. The personal touch that you give your guests is second to none.

Gotta Love Those Costa del Mar Sunglasses!

Captain Harold’s had a pair of Costa del Mar Sunglasses for over a year and he’s been raving about the things he can see in the water while on our airboat rides. Well, I finally got a pair and for the past few weeks I have been truly amazed at what I can see underwater.

Today was absolutely awesome!  There’s a very large gator that we see on our hour airboat rides.  He has a little spot he likes to hang out in and we’ll see part of his body and then he slips underwater.  Occasionally we’ll see him swimming in the water, but we’ve never seen him up on the bank to actually get a good idea of how big he actually is.

Well, today he pulled his usual disappearing act and Captain Harold told me and our passengers that the gator headed straight to the bottom – and sure enough, for the FIRST TIME, with my super Costa del Mar sunglasses, I was able to see right through the water and view this monster gator – he’s huge!  I knew he was, but being able to see him underwater was absolutely awesome.  I still get a chill thinking about it!
