A Must Do Airboat Ride When in Orlando!

It’s been a while since I’ve shared some of our newest airboat ride Trip Advisor reviews with you… so here you go!

We have just returned from our 1st trip to Orlando and the boat trip out with ‘Spirit of the Swamp’ was one of the highlights for our whole family, inlcuding kids of 14 and 6.

Debi helped me in the planning of the trip, making sure we knew exactly where we were going to meet the boat by sending directions from our holiday villa to the location.

Captain Harold was a great host making sure we were all comfortable and feeling safe on the boat which only sits 6 so you can guarantee a personal tour. We paid for an hour tour but were out for more like 90 minutes seeing some fantastic parts of the ’swamp’ that I’m sure larger boats wouldn’t be able to get to.

Whilst out Captain Harold pointed out alligators, a bald eagle and various other birds. He also told us a bit about the history of the area which helped us understand some of the local place names.

I can’t recommend this trip highly enough and the price for such a personal tour was very reasonable. We will be doing it again next time we visit the area.

Definitely the Best Airboat Ride!

I’ve officially claimed yesterday and today to be “DIBB VIP” days.  This proclamation was announced to Captain Harold and he agreed.  So there!

We love The DIBB (Disney Information Bulletin Board) and the feeling is mutual.  Can you feel the love?  Anyway… yesterday we met Kate and Phil on holiday from Bristol, England.

I received this email yesterday from Kate:

Thank you so much for our tour this morning.  We thoroughly enjoyed it and you were wonderful hosts and tour guides.  We have done air boat rides before but this was definitely the best by a long way.  Your care and attention really made it a thrilling experience for us.

We sincerely hope the restriction situation resolves itself very quickly and the new venture you talked about comes to fruition.

Kindest regards
