Kid’s Rule on Our Airboat! Family Friendly In Florida!

We’re about as family friendly as you can get – we love kids!  Kids rule on Spirit of the Swamp – and we make sure they have as much fun as possible.

Take Adam for example – he took an airboat ride with us today.  And he was a little scared.  So we put him in the middle seat with his mom and his older brother and Dad sat up front.  Soon Adam was asking how much longer the ride was going to be, and when we were heading back “home” as he put it.  Not because he was still scared, but because he didn’t want to the ride to end!  We put Adam in the front seat for the last 10 minutes of the airboat tour and he loved it.

Adam’s comments?  “We’re doing this again next year and I’ll ride in the FRONT the whole time!  Mom, Dad, did you hear me? We’ve got to do this again!”

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions About Taking an Airboat Tour

Do you have questions about whether or not an airboat ride is for you?  Do you feel like you aren’t a “boater” and thus wouldn’t like an airboat tour?  Nervous about being out in the swamp?  Here are some of our most frequently asked questions…

How long does it take to drive to the boat ramp from the Orlando and Kissimmee areas?  We are a short drive away from the hotel and attractions areas – about 30 minutes or so to drive.

What’s the best time of day to take an airboat tour?  If you’d like to see more wildlife, we’d recommend starting your trip as early in the morning as possible – 8am or 9am is ideal.  It’s the prettiest time of day and the light is beautiful for photography.

What’s happens if it’s raining?  There’s never any charge for a weather related cancellation.  In the summertime, we find that we can usually wait until the showers blow over.  We’ll never risk your safety by departing when lightening is in the area.

We’ll answer some more of your questions in tomorrow’s blog…
