Florida Cracker Airboat Rides – The Real Deal Local Experience!

Our 90 minute and 2 hour “FLORIDA CRACKER” private airboat rides resume today!  Repairs to the lock are completed and we’re now able to get deep into the Dead River’s swamps and marshes once again.

We designed our “FLORIDA CRACKER” airboat tour around the favorite local airboat experiences, and we’re sure you’ll agree this is the best airboat experience in Orlando and Kissimmee!

Remember, Spirit of the Swamp is the only airboat company offering these longer private airboat rides, and the ONLY airboat taking you on the beautiful Dead River from start to finish.  Copmplimentary soft drinks and water are included.

Stunning Florida Nature Photography

Ron Lackore from Fairfield, California, took an airboat ride with us last week while at a conference in Lake Buena Vista.  He sent me some of his stunning photos and I wanted to share them with you.

First of all, this is my absolute all time favorite photo of the biggest cypress tree I’ve ever seen!  It can be found on the beautiful Dead River during our “FLORIDA CRACKER” airboat rides.  Can you believe the size of this tree?

This is Ron’s favorite shot on the Dead River, I  love the beautiful reflection on the water!

Yes, We’re Really the REAL DEAL Local Airboat Experience!

I read some research recently that said travelers want to know what “local” means in their vacation destination and are seeking “local” experiences.  I guess we knew that based on the popularity of our two our “FLORIDA CRACKER” airboat ride.  We designed this trip around our local experiences, what we loved to do (and still do!) when airboating.

We want our passengers to get the real deal local experience by taking you where only the locals go… big and bulky 20 passenger pontoon type airboats can’t get in these deep swamp areas, only Spirit of the Swamp can take you there!  In fact, we are the only airboat company that will show you the the breathtakingly beautiful Dead River.  The Dead River is actually a slough (pronounced SLEW) which is a meandering water pathway that can be quite shallow during certain times of the year.  Other times of the year the water is very high and we’re able to travel across wide open marshes.

This airboat ride is about as local as you’re going to get… so make sure to give us a call and get a “local” experience you’ll never forget!
