Spirit of the Swamp Airboat Tours

Take a look at this gator; I snapped his picture today on our 2 hour “FLORIDA CRACKER” airboat ride.  What do you think?  Is he happy to see me?

Or maybe he’s being aggressive?

One of our passenger’s said  he’s showing us his “big guns”…

Actually some call this behavior gaping and it’s usually done when the gator is lying in the sun.  It’s thought that it cools down the gator, but since they also do this at night or in the rain, maybe it also has a social function…  Social function?  Maybe he really IS happy to see me! 

PS - When you see Captain Harold, please tell him I need a new camera… I’m sure these pictures would have been awesome, if I had a better camera!
