Spirit of the Swamp Airboat Tours

Yep, we did.  Won’t say exactly where, but we sure would be glad to show them to you!  One nest is hidden pretty well, but mama gator is there almost every time we take our airboat ride passengers to this spot.

The other nest is one you can see, when you know what you’re looking for of course!  Captain Harold tells me this mama gator sometimes puts on a real show!

We see lots of Florida wildlife on our airboat tours… not just gators!  And sometimes we see things we’ve never seen before.  Earlier this week we left on an early morning airboat ride.  We love the morning!  It really is the optimum time to see wildlife.  We saw lots of deer that morning, too many to count.

And then we saw a doe and her spotted fawn.  Neither seemed to show any fear as we eased the airboat closer.  In fact, the fawn started to nurse!  We’ve never, ever, seen a fawn nursing on it’s mother, and Captain Harold is an avid outdoorsman.  Our passengers loved it!  What a great start to our morning!
